Return & Refund Policy

At Saucer Optics, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not fully satisfied, we're here to help.

1. Return Window

We accept returns within 60 days after delivery.

This means you have 60 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

This policy applies to all orders placed on our website, with specific shipping terms varying by destination.

2. Eligible Returns

We accept returns for both:

  • Defective products.
  • Non-defective products.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • In new condition.
  • Unused and undamaged.
  • Returned with original packaging, if applicable.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase or order number.

3. Exchanges

We also accept exchanges.

If you would like to exchange an item for a different lens model or color, please contact us first so we can assist you with the process.

4. Return Method

Returns are accepted by mail.

Please do not send items back without prior authorization, as unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

5. Return Shipping Cost

Non-Defective Returns

For returns or exchanges that are not related to product quality issues, a return shipping fee of USD $9.90 will be deducted from the refund amount or charged for the exchange process.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If the item is defective, damaged during transit, or incorrect due to our error, we will provide a prepaid return label or cover the return shipping cost.

6. Restocking Fees

We do not charge any restocking fees for returns.

7. Return Processing Time

Once we receive your returned item, it typically takes 1–2 business days to inspect and process your return.

Processing time begins on the next business day after the package is delivered to and signed for at our warehouse. Weekends and public holidays are not counted as business days.

If your return request is incomplete (for example, missing order number or the item does not meet return eligibility), processing may take longer. We will notify you via email of any issues.

8. Refunds

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund.

If approved:

  • Your refund will be issued to your original payment method.
  • Refunds are typically processed within 3 - 5 business days after inspection.
  • For EU customers exercising the right of withdrawal, refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, including standard outbound shipping costs.

Please note that your bank, credit card company, or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

9. Order Cancellations

Orders can be canceled for a full refund anytime before shipment.

Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be canceled and must follow the return process described above.

10. EU Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers Only)

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This is known as the "cooling-off period" under EU consumer protection law (EU Directive 2023/2673).

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal:

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you may notify us of your decision before the 14-day period expires. You can do so by:

  • Emailing us at support@sauceroptics.com with the subject line "Withdrawal Request – Order #[Your Order Number]"
  • Using the account portal and sending your withdrawal request to us by email

Upon receiving your withdrawal request, we will send you an email confirmation promptly.

Effects of Withdrawal:

  • We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.
  • We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence of return shipment.
  • You may return the goods within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.
  • You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods (USD $9.90 will be deducted for non-defective returns).
